Sr. Network Administrator

Job Description Description of duties Standard Motor Products, Inc. (SMP), a tier 1 manufacturer and distributor of products to the automotive aftermarket, is seeking a talented individual to work as an IT Sr. Network Administrator on our 1st shift at our Engine Management facility in Independence, Kansas. This position is responsible for maintenance and security of various network based servers and providing support across our organization. Responsibilities will include: Work scheduled 1st shift, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Provides 1st level incident and problem management support activities leveraging ticketing system. Investigates, diagnoses, and proactively takes prescribed actions on all networking events, alarms, and incidents Develops and maintains information about network topology, documentation, and configuration items and ensure accuracy and availability to others. This includes labeling network components with asset tags and tracking components locations, serial numbers, IP/MAC addresses and owners Implements complex network change requests and provides support to junior team members Manages network performance, capacity and availability, through detailed analysis on a scheduled basis providing feedback to management including recommendations for remediation Recommends new technology and presents it to team members Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing Excellent verbal and written communications Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Experience: 8+ years of Network Administratorexperience Must have a solid understanding of networking technologies and services such as switching/routing skills and WAN skills such as (BGP). Must be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues from WAN down to the desktop level. Active Directory Experience Preferred Experience with AN Communications, MCSE/MCITP for 2008, WIFI, Motorola RF MC9200 series guns Preferred Citrix Experience Preferred Experience with MS Exchange 2010, SAN Experience, EXSi VMWare Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis and evaluating performance issue; troubleshootingnetwork problems and escalating problems as needed. Responsible for overseeing security of network, monitoring and evaluation; installation and implementation of security updates; monitoring for security breaches. Review/research hardware related items for purchase and installation. Strong communication skills both verbal and written to interact with end users, vendors, customers. Strong MS Office skills, good judgment and decision making; ability to multi-task. Preferred: Bachelor Degree Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. Nice to Have: Cybersecurity Certification or Experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
